MizzKay 36 Posted April 12, 2021 So i have to do a liver shrinking diet 2 weeks prior to surgery. Which is substituting 2 meals w/ Protein Drink from an approved list. 2 Snacks low calorie or fat free yogurt, cottage cheese or 1/2 of fruit and 1 meal consisting of 4 oz lean Protein and vegetables. Except corn, sweet potatoes, lima Beans and potatoes. 64 oz of Water. I should have no problems because i basically been eating this was since February. 1 SummerTimeGirl reacted to this
SummerTimeGirl 582 Posted April 12, 2021 I'd have no problem eating that either as that's also how I typically eat. I'm still waiting to see what my pre op diet will consist of. I know I'll have one but they've yet to give me the details of it. Guess I'll find that out in the 90 min pre op class I'll be attending or during my last surgeons visit. catwoman7 11,220 Posted April 13, 2021 you're lucky. A lot of us have to Clear Liquids and 4 or 5 Protein Shakes a day - no solid food. That is TOUGH. I think I could have handled your pre-op diet!
