Will insurance companies accept major depression (weight related) as a possible reason to help get LapBand?

I don't really think so. I believe...at least with my insurance...you have to have a BMI over 40 or if it's under 40, you have to have comorbidities like blood pressure, diabetes, etc. It should state the qualifications in your insurance policy. You can ususally access the information via the internet.
