Hailey.. 0 Posted March 25, 2021 Hey yall! I have an appointment with my surgeon on April 2nd and I was just wondering if anyone has good tips and tricks before and after to either help me lose weight at a good pace or to make recovery easier. My goal weight loss total is a little over 100 pounds
Lynnlovesthebeach 626 Posted March 26, 2021 Follow ALL the instructions they give you and don't worry about how fast you are losing. Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Just know the first couple of weeks there will be some pain or discomfort but it does get better everyday. This is a lifestyle change! Use your tool the way it is designed to be used and you will be successful. Don't go back to your old bad habits that got you here in the first place. Also, I never say "I can't have that." I'm an adult...I can have whatever I damn well want! Instead I say (to myself) "I choose not to eat that." To someone offering me something I know I don't want, a simple "no thank you" works just fine! Good luck with your journey. It is definitely worth the effort! 2 mswillis5 and Hailey.. reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 26, 2021 Establish a relationship with a bariatric therapist. For me...it was as important as the surgery longterm. 2 Hailey.. and lizonaplane reacted to this

Elahnen 183 Posted March 26, 2021 Hi, a suggestion from the dietician I seen is to reduce dairy. I thought I was doing well drinking ore-made Protein Shakes, but they gave a lot of dairy in them. I guess dairy can cause inflammation. She told me to try Vega Protein (plant based) and almond milk. I love it! Try plant based protein! Hope this helps :) 1 Hailey.. reacted to this
