Jnfinney 527 Posted March 23, 2021 Hello! I am a week post op and still on liquids. I also have been struggling with Protein Drinks and reaching my Protein intake. I was perusing Walmart today and was in the baking aisle. I stopped at the extracts and flavorings and noticed a wide variety. I picked up the cake batter flavor and the strawberry flavor but they also had banana, lemon, spearmint, maple, etc. I just added a dash of the cake batter flavoring to 8 oz skim milk and 1/2 scoop of Protein Powder and I prefer the taste so much more! catwoman7 11,220 Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) I make mint shakes sometimes. Either with vanilla Protein powder or chocolate protein powder and some peppermint extract. With the vanilla, I'll usually put a couple of drops of green food coloring in, too. And I blend both (choc and van) with ice in my blender. Shamrock Shake! Terri77 6 Posted March 24, 2021 (edited) Try this recipe: Ingredients 1) 1 can tuna-white albacore packed in Water (do not drain) 2) cilantro (fresh) 3) 1/2 clove garlic 4) 1 tbsp (low-fat mayo or pureed mushrooms or low-fat ricotta cheese) 5) water (1/2 ounce) Mix ingredients # 2,3,4,5 and puree Then mix ingredient # 1. Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 24, 2021 If you want something incredibly delicious and shakey....try frozen bananas with coco powder, skim milk, coconut milk, frozen greek yogurt (I just dump some in a zip lock baggie and break pieces off after it's frozen) and vanilla...in the blender. Bananas do have sugar, so watch out if you are sensitive. This is my go to when I crave ice cream. It's amazing, decent nutrition, and you can add protien powder if you want.
