A couple years ago I was prescribed Phentermine from a weight loss doctor/family physician. It worked wonders and did exactly what I needed it to do, lose the extra 15 pounds diet and exercise wouldn't work to lose. Sadly i gained some weight with this pandemic and would like to try Phentermine again, but the doctor retired and I'm not looking to see a huge weight loss clinic type setting. Was wondering if anyone knew of a doctor they could recommend in the Cherry Hill area that I could possibly use?

Any info would be greatly appreciated,

Sara

I’m not in that area, but I got my prescription for Phentermine through my primary care doc.

I'm also not in NJ but my PCP prescribed it. There is some new online service that prescribes weight loss medications, I keep seeing ads on FB for it, but I don't know if it's legit, it's called "found". Good luck. I also took phentermine, but since I was eating when I wasn't hungry, it didn't work at all. I tried it a few times as I am preparing for surgery and it works a lot better for me now... too bad my insurance won't pay for it now because I failed it the first time.

I was on phentermine years ago and it was also prescribed by my primary care physician. Have you asked yours about it?

in 2018 i tried them, you get a video call from a nurse go over medical issues, and have to prove your blood pressure is under control, theyll explain how you prove it and they send the meds once dr approves them. Dr is in Cali

There is Express weight loss Clinic from Plano and another locatin in tx . If your state allows it and u can log in to see only a few states don't. You can do everything by video . They prescribe Phentermine and alot of other perscriotion weight loss drugs . You need a bp cuff a scale and no heart problems etc . It works out really well.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
