futurefinemama 163 Posted March 22, 2021 Any one have issues digesting lettuce? I am 9 months out and no matter what type of lettuce I try; it does not agree with me. Will I have to scratch lettuce off my menu forever?!
ImsexyandIknowit 48 Posted March 22, 2021 Oh yeah that is a big time wrap for me.... I can't do it no more salads...just the toppings like the chicken or cheese lol
catwoman7 11,220 Posted March 22, 2021 I can eat it now, but IIRC it took several months before I could tolerate it...
momof3_angels 465 Posted March 22, 2021 It took me many months, but I can eat lettuce again. Anything you physically can't tolerate... lay off it for a while, but don't be afraid to try again later! I don't remember how long it took to eat lettuce, but I think it was close to a year??? Now I love my lettuce wraps! And I intermittently eat salads too. In fact, I substitute rice with salad quite often at restaurants.

ShoppGirl 5,009 Posted March 29, 2021 I am still only 3 weeks out but I had an acquaintance at bowling who’s brother was a gastroenterologist I think...anyways he said that lettuce is very hard for our bodies to digest and the chopped greens (you can buy them that way at supermarkets now) are easier. Maybe that will help.
