ShoppGirl 5,009 Posted March 14, 2021 Scrambled eggs are listed on my puréed diet. Do they mean I need to put them in the blender or because they are so soft can I eat them as is? Does anyone else have similar diet?
The Greater Fool 2,054 Posted March 14, 2021 I've had scrambled eggs that were so flakey it literally melted in the mouth. I've had scrambled eggs that were like a big yellow blob that required cutting to get a mouthful. I would say one qualifies as pureed and the other not. 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this
Arabesque 7,416 Posted March 15, 2021 Scrambled eggs were a saviour during the purée stage for me. I’d scramble two eggs with a little more milk than I’d normally use. Make sure it’s a soft scramble. Two eggs would be three meals for me so on the second & third day I’d mash them & microwave them with a dash of milk to keep them soft. Hope your tummy can tolerate them. As some can’t or they don’t enjoy the taste. Congrats on your surgery. 1 1 Reddpanda and ShoppGirl reacted to this
SunnyinSC 137 Posted March 15, 2021 In my pre-op education class, they said that to be counted as pureed, the scrambled eggs would need to be the consistency of cottage cheese. But everyone's doctor's are different and all. Good luck! 2 Qamilian1 and ShoppGirl reacted to this
