Beautiful Green Beans:)

Recommended Posts

I do love me some green beans! Hit these guys with a little sesame oil, some minced garlic, some balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Crack Beans. Love them. If you have some lean ham or turkey bacon, dice it up and throw it in. Have leftovers? Throw them in a potato and green bean Soup. Can't go wrong with these...and you can get the nice pretty tender little whole beans frozen at Aldi on the cheap. Enjoy!

I use the Aldi brand of extra tiny beans....they're young beans..skinny, more tender, easier to chew well. And incredibly delicious.

Those look delicious! I love green Beans. My favorite frozen green beans are Steamfresh (I don't steam them in the bag, though). I also got some good ones from Trader Joe's for a great price.

I eat green Beans almost every day (with asparagus, sugarsnap peas & broccolini). I’m spoilt, I have access to fresh green bean all year round - my family grows a lot of beans. 😉

I usually just microwave them with a little Water & butter. So yummy. I love them with garlic & a splash of sesame oil too. Delicious raw too. Crunchy goodness.

I like to roast green Beans or haricots verts with some olive oil, salt, pepper, and sometimes grated parm in a 425F oven for 10-12 minutes, turning once. I make about 12-16 oz of beans at once and it's like three servings, which reheat well in the microwave (I'm presurgery).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
