Can anyone recommend a Protein Water? Looking on Amazon, I feel 90 calories is a little stiff for water (premier protein). Gatorade Zero has a 50 calorie option but I'm not a huge Gatorade fan. Looked at nectar in the Bariatric Pal Store but it's pricey and I'm not sure about the taste. Would love to know if anyone has a favorite.

I got a recommendation on here for Ideal fit. Its a powder you mix and they are really good. I tried a few different ones and love them all so far.

I got the Premier brand grape flavored one at Target or Walmart. It has a slightly dry aftertaste but when I poured it over a cup of ice it diluted it enough that it was fine.

I like Syntrax Nectar, and they have a lot of flavors. I would recommend buying sample packs of the flavors that appeal to you to see what you like. IdealFit also has some good ones (and you can buy samples of those, too). I bought a case of Protein2O and HATED it. It left a weird residue in my mouth (little bits with the texture of cooked egg whites). It's possible I just got a bad batch or something, though.

No, I had the same feeling with Protein2O. It had a weird aftertaste and seemed to get chunky after opening the bottle.

My favorite was Isopure Protein Water (grape flavor), with 60 calories per bottle (although I must say that 90 calories is by no means excessive). I preferred Isopure because it was very light, where as some protein "waters" have an unpleasantly thick consistency.

I really like the Syntrax Nectar fruit flavors. My favorites are the Iced Tea, Roadside Lemonade, and Crystal Sky. Best served very cold. Sometimes I add a little crystal light to amp up the flavor a little.

Gatorade now has Gatorade zero with 10g of protein! I found it on Amazon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
