Blueslily 94 Posted May 28, 2021 Hey April Sleevers, Everyone feeling ok about making it through the holiday weekend? I will be attending a family gathering where family will see me for the first time. I'm 7 weeks out so I've lost weight and can only eat 2.5 ounces of food. Sox I'm preparing to handle a few questions. I'm feeling confident about staying in plan. How about you all? 1 Erinleigh reacted to this
Joser09 4 Posted May 28, 2021 Hey , same here I had my surgery on April 7th / 7 weeks out. As far as a gathering I will be at work keeping my mind occupied while the rest of the family is bbq’ing lol. But I just say it’s a roller coaster for me. Doing my best staying on track and with the plan. 1 Erinleigh reacted to this

deebeebee 5 Posted May 28, 2021 I'm not doing a family gathering but a get-together with a bunch of friends who are camping for the weekend. There will be a big horseshoe tournament and lots of alcohol. I plan on bringing my own little cooler with my rations and not having any alcohol. Most of my peeps already know that had my stomach cut on, so I am not concerned. The only one who has commented in a non-positive way a someone who is very big who probably should consider surgery but doesn't want to have affect their lifestyle of upscale food and drink. To each their own... Happy Mem Day!
Cherylanne22 27 Posted May 28, 2021 Has anyone had an issue with anxiety? I am 6 weeks post op and about a week ago I noticed that I was experiencing anxiety, enough that I don't even want to leave the house! I wanted to know if anyone else has or is experiencing this, there is nothing else going on in my life to warrant this, very puzzling.

There are potentially lots of explanations depending on you. Certain foods can trigger moods. Or caffeine withdrawal. Medications can have that side effect, especially if your dosing should be changed with your weight loss. Also your hormones are probably wild with the fat burning. Maybe try journaling and see what comes up. Your body is wise and you may be able to identify the problem yourself!

I read on this site and heard in some YouTube videos that sometimes that happens to some people because of a change in hormones during fat loss. I'm not an expert on it by any means. But I did hear about that in some videos and on this website.
