Do you have a FULL trigger? I sneeze when full!

Recommended Posts

I would do this when I had the band too. I hated that damn band!! I would sneeze when full. Anyone else experience this or have another trigger?

Oh Wow! Good I am not alone. My Doc told me that was my body letting me know I was full. Something about the membrane in my nose swelling.

sneezing (or runny nose) seems to be a common one. I just feel pressure in my chest. Once I feel that, I know I need to stop unless I want to risk it coming back up.

I don't have a regular trigger, but occasionally I will hiccup when I reach the feeling of fullness.

You are WAY down the road from me. I eat very smll portions really just for the Hell of it becuse I am not hungry. Have some head hunger from time to time but that is about it. I have not eaten enough to feel sickly yet.

I'm still working on figuring out an absolute sign. I've been noticing more of a gurgle feeling/noise as I'm getting full. Unfortunately, I end up with hiccups after I'm already too full and it makes the pain even worse.

I should be clearer that I sneeze when I am full. I don't always eat until I am full.

I stop eating when I've eaten my appropriate volume. It doesn't always give me the full feeling or sneeze. My plan doesn't call for eating until I am full but to eat a specific amount of appropriate food.

Yeah that is what I am eating to. It has only happened a couple of times. Hope I can eliminate the snezzing.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
