Erika1334 0 Posted March 9, 2021 Did anyone not change their diet much pre OP? I've cut out sodas for a month now, but not a whole lot of anything else. Just wondering how hard it is. Surgery date is 1 month 3 days away. Sent from my SM-S767VL using BariatricPal mobile app
ms.sss 15,721 Posted March 9, 2021 I ate "normally" right up to the night before I started my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I felt a little hungry the first couple days, but then it was all good from there.
HeatherE 202 Posted March 9, 2021 I followed the guides in the packet I was given and after New Years Eve I started a 700-900 calorie diet. I was probably the only one who did. I’ve lost over 20 pounds and brought my BMI below 40. Yesterday I started the pre-op diet and it is HARD. Glad I didn’t do it cold turkey from my old high calorie diet, I’m struggling. I called out of work and slept all day. I couldn’t focus yesterday. Bypass Surgery is on March 22, 2021.
