Recommended Posts

I know you guys all have seen the ad's for Dr. Squatch soap. Maybe you thought, hmmm I wonder. My friend order the starter bundle and the company accidentally sent two sets. When she told them they said.... Just keep them. So she gifted my husband with a bar..... OMG Alpine Sage was the one we choose. It smells so good. You guys, they ALLLLL smell so good. The soap is so creamy and lathers up sooo good.... I just bought 6 bars for him to try and I'm gifting all the men in my life with some. Do yourself and your "partner" or future "partner" a favor and get some....

I will let you all know what the new sent Wood Barrel Bourbon smells like..... Can't wait

I just decided to try this soap too, I've only used 3 bars so far but my favorite is the Bay Rum. Followed closely by the Bourbon soap but I'm not a fan of the corn and sand in them however. Other than that I love the product. It makes me feel manly and well cared for.

I also bought the Crushed Pine cologne...love it!

I've also discovered pedicures. To think of all of those wasted years of hacking my toe nails and abusing my feet.

I love the Alpine Sage..... omg... not sandy or gritty at all....
I have a thing about feet.... Gross feet make me want to barf...... my x had horrible feet.... So when I started dating Tim I asked him.... how does your feet look? He said great I get pedi's all the time. So I married him. He and I go every 4-6 weeks and have hands & feet done. He used to have trouble with ingrown toe nails... not anymore. I don't get a pedi but like 4 times a year... I have really great feet. I get my nails done and change my toe polish to match.

ALL MEN SHOULD GET PEDI'S DONE!!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
