EllaKop 37 Posted March 3, 2021 Hello everyone! Mostly a question directed toward the ladies of the group. My hair has been falling out at a steady rate for the past six weeks. my baby hairs are growing in at the same rate. I am 5 months post op. Have any of you gotten your hair done during this time? I have tried to avoid it but at 33 yo my hair is growing back wicked grey. Curious if anyone had an appointment then regretted it after. I expect additional Hair loss but definitely don’t want to speed up the process lol. Thinking a cut may help too. What have your experiences been? Thanks so much. Creekimp13 5,840 Posted March 3, 2021 My hair grew back curly! It always had a little wave, but the curl became much more aggressive when it grew back. Isn't that bizarre? Yep, lots of greys...I just dye them at home. I use Garnier Nutrisse Light Golden Brown on my dark mouse brown and grey hair and it comes out looking pretty good for about $14 every couple months. LOL.

I got tired of seeing CARPETS of hair all over my bathroom floor (as well as the trail of hairs I left everywhere else) so I cut off my boob-length hair to a bob, and then soon after, into a pixie. It helped alot (when styled) to hide my scalp which was clearly visible. If you are looking for a dye job, my suggestion would be to get it done in a colour as light as possible (or you can stand) so that the contrast of hair colour to scalp is not as obvious. With that said, it DOES grow back for basically everyone...so take heart it's only temporary. I'm 2+ years out and its all back (plus more, i think...).
