My jean callous is gone!

Recommended Posts

Ever get that rough patch on your index finger because zipping your jeans is too tough?

That's gone! I can take my jeans straight from the dryer and put them on with ease.

Goodbye rough patch - I don't miss you at all!

:)

This is so funny. I am glad for you'all.

I have seen dents in the side of heavy people's heads where their glasses pinch in. I wonder how many people have lost those 2 dents in the sides of thier heads?

We have to laugh at our selves.

I had a fear of lawn chairs. Never trusted them. I would only sit on ground or my chair. I would get a lot of questions of concerns when sitting on ground. If the person just wouldn't let it go, I would tell them I fear that I will break it. It would embarrass them but shut them up.

I never got the callous - I wore the elastic waist. It kept me in a size 16 pants long after I should've been into a 20. It was my own way of denying how fat I really was.

I am loving the fact that not only do I not have the callous, but I can usually pull my jeans on and off without zipping or unzipping them.

The only pair that I can pull off w/out unzipping is hanging on my closet door, behind a pair of size 12 jeans that I want to be able to wear. I have them on the same hangar, and the size 24 jeans are so big they overhang the closet door!! - - Hm. Perhaps I should move them to the kitchen!

I used to have one of those too, but I have to confess it was back in college when I tried to stuff my size 8 body into size 6

Calvins. Now I'd be happy to be a size 12, which I used to consider big as a house -

I pull all my jeans on & off without zipping too. Hurrah for the trend that came in a couple years ago of stretchy jeans that aren't elastic.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
