Tim C 336 Posted February 28, 2021 I saw a video on Youtube about a lady headed to the hospital for surgery. She talked about the need for dry mouth spray. I bought some at CVS. They have Biotene dry mouth and the CVS brand. I was so thankful to have it at the hospital. I would encourage folks to take this with them to the hospital. My mouth was so dry I could barely open it. This spray is good stuff! Less than $10. You can use it later as well. Just a little nugget 😎 3 LoveSimcha, JustJazzy and ChunkyCali reacted to this

Just a little nugget 😎 yes - a lot of people have dry mouth after surgery - maybe from the breathing tube. I think I was OK (although I had my generic Biotene spray with me...), but I know a lot of people experience dry mouth after surgery

My dry mouth was so bad after surgery it supercede my pain. All I could think about was my dry mouth, I almost had an anxiety attack because of it! The nurse ended up giving me this toothbrush sponge which was a god send. I definitely would recommend this to everyone! 1 Tim C reacted to this

GingersnapMI 29 Posted March 21, 2021 I had horrible dry mouth pre- and post-endoscopy. The anesthetist said it's due to a medication they put in your IV to reduce saliva. It's usually given anytime someone has surgery or a procedure during which a breathing tube is used down the patient's throat. Definitely going to bring me some spray for my surgery!
