So this is weird.....the hair on my head is thinning, and getting shorter every time I wash it. However, I am starting to grow facial hair, on my chin, and cheeks, and dark shadowing on my mustache area. WTH is going on? Does this have anything to do with WLS? It is freaking me out.

This is probably hormonal. I would ask your doctor about it.

I've had this for several years. My hair was already thinning, and had finally slowed down and now it's thinning from wls. I have a lot of hair on my chin. The weird thing is I have NONE on my legs anymore. I never had a ton of leg hair before, but I literally have not had to shave my legs in years. There is zero hair.
The chin hair drives me nuts. I have a thing called Flawless on Amazon, which is like a little face shaver for women. [emoji2368]
I am 49, so I suspect a lot of this has to do with starting menopause.

I don't have a lot of all over facial hair but I do get them under my chin like crazy and have one or two random super long hairs in my cheek area. I'm almost 40. My mom gets the single long hair too so it's genetic I'm sure. I finally got fed up and decided to dermaplane. I do it myself with an eyebrow razor called Tinkle you can buy cheap on Amazon. There's a few great YT videos with 1 million+ views that show how to do it. No shaving cream, just damp skin. Never looked back. It also is a great way to exfoliate.

Not hormonal. I had a "forced" hysterectomy when I was only 26. My endocrine doc just tested my blood approx. a month ago, and all my hormones are in check. It has only happened after the WLS.

I haven't had to shave my legs for a few years now. I used to have to shave almost every day. It is weird.

I've been shaving my chin for over 30 years. I'm now 60. Next week I'll have my three month post op appointment. I hit my Protein and Water goals daily. I'm taking Biotin. I've noticed the hair on my chin has significantly increased. Ugh!!!! So far the hair on my head doesn't seem to be falling out.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
