So 56 lbs total. I’ve been losing 3-5lbs a week post op. Small portions is key for me. Did stop taking blood pressure medicine as it was making me light headed when i stood up. BP is maintaining normal. I'm off the meds as well. This is such a big step. Awesome for you. 1 Tim C reacted to this

ElPasoSleeveGal 13 Posted February 19, 2021 I had sleeve surgery 12/29 so I am about 7 weeks post op. I have lost 30lbs since surgery date. I feel like I should be losing more, even the dietitian agreed. But so far I've been able to tolerate foods, I've never had dumping, I do need to get more Protein and Water in, but I feel good. If you had a long pre op diet, you won't necessarily get the dramatic results right after, either
kunkelgw 22 Posted February 19, 2021 I lost 35 prior to surgery and am 9 weeks post surgery and am down another 26. I weigh myself everyday but keep my eye focused on my Monday weights. I am exercising daily and noticed I am slowing down but average about 500 calories (regular foods now) but 60 g of Protein and 60+ ounces of Water. I did not gain all of this in a day so even a weekly loss of 2 pounds is a win for me. 2 lizonaplane and MariaC6 reacted to this
blackcatsandbaddecisions 852 Posted February 19, 2021 I gotta come in and represent the slower post op losers! I lost 38.6 lbs in the first 90 days. I lost a pretty significant amount of weight preop though so It has been 100 days since surgery but I am down 100 lbs since July 5. I think it’s important to remember that your body controls how fast you lose, but your mind and your choices control how much overall you lose and how much you keep off over time. And the more you lose the slower it goes- but when you do the right things it still goes in the right direction! 5 ThisMomOf5, Allienyc, MariaC6 and 2 others reacted to this

Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app Thank you for sharing. I had the sleeve on 1/15 and I am 27 pounds down, but that’s including the pre-op diet I started 1/1. I also feel like my loss is on the slower side, so you are not alone. My surgeon and nutritionist seem to think it’s ok. I started out with a BMI under 40, and I have heard that sometimes you lose slower if you have ‘less’ to lose. Not sure how true that is. Either way, the important thing is that the weight is coming off! As opposed to if we had not made any changes, it would have be the same old story, or maybe we would have even gained a few pounds! Keep up the good work everyone, and don’t stop! 2 kunkelgw and ElPasoSleeveGal reacted to this

Since my surgery was for GERD and not officially bariatric, I didn't have as much to lose to get to my goal weight. But I want to lose a few pounds more just to give myself some "wiggle" room once I'm past the honeymoon period. I know that weight gain is possible, and very likely probable, after the 1st year. I wasn't really prepared for maintenance after my sleeve surgery in 2014 and gained almost 50 lbs. in the 6 years following surgery. I want to be better prepared to maintain a normal weight since I've been given a second chance to truly change my relationship with food! You look amazing! Congratulations on your success! 1 mae7365 reacted to this

Always remember this; YMMV (your mileage may vary) I think I will be down around 20 pounds by the time I have surgery from the time that it got rescheduled. The first couple of days on the liquid diet was really difficult. Now after 4 days I have a good handle on this and ready to go next week and start this journey! 1 kunkelgw reacted to this
