Wild13 10 Posted February 14, 2021 So I’m like afraid today last night I went to bed with no pain meds so I won’t rely on them but I woke up at 2 am and I had been sleeping on my stomach usually I’m always on my side or my back slightly sitting or inclined. I am afraid that will now cause a leak. I’m been scared of a leak ever since surgery last week.
Kris77 1,538 Posted February 14, 2021 Did they tell you to not sleep on your stomach? I know every Dr is diff but mine didn’t say I had to sleep a certain way at any point and I was fine. (I had the sleeve) so if that’s any help to you. If you are worried call your surgeon and ask if it’s ok that you slept on your stomach. I’m sure they can guide you and dos and donts Good luck to you and congrats to the start of your weight loss journey 1 Wild13 reacted to this

Crick 146 Posted February 14, 2021 My doctor told me specifically it didn’t matter from a surgical standpoint - it only mattered from my comfort level. I slept on my stomach from 6 nights post op and I haven’t looked back. 1 Arabesque reacted to this
Wild13 10 Posted February 14, 2021 Thanks for that because I was worried I’m only four days post op and one of the glue came off and the incision didn’t look all that closed so I’m a first time freaking out but I put a bandaid on it my post op is in a week so we will see 11 minutes ago, Crick said: My doctor told me specifically it didn’t matter from a surgical standpoint - it only mattered from my comfort level.
