Recidivist 1,141 Posted February 12, 2021 I was doing about 1/4 cup during the puree stage as well. I never felt hungry, nor did I feel full. It was just a matter of getting in the Protein I needed at that point. I was never able to make such tiny portions of food last 30 minutes or more. I made a point of chewing everything thoroughly when I got to solid food, but I still couldn't make my meals last long enough. I'm not advocating faster eating, just sharing my experience. I also wanted to note that my surgeon and nutritionist said that I did not need to stop drinking 30 minutes before eating, only after. That's what I have done since surgery and it doesn't seem to have been a problem. Again, just my experience. 1 icandothis_gastricsleeve020221 reacted to this
BayougirlMrsS 3,935 Posted February 12, 2021 For me it has always and still is Portion Control. I stuck to my 1/8 cups.... I now do 1/2 cup Protein, 1/8 cup veggie and 1/8 other. I do this for all three meals. I snack on deli meat and cheese during the day. 1 icandothis_gastricsleeve020221 reacted to this
BDL58 86 Posted April 24, 2021 I bought some silicone ice cube trays with lids planning to make portion controlled meals...each compartment holds 1/3 cup with room for expansion when frozen. Each try has 6 compartments. Does anyone have some good freezable recipes that would work for this? Having surgery 6/1/21 but planning ahead and want to try some recipes beforehand.
