Cantstop1977 5 Posted February 7, 2021 So sorry to hear about your mother. You’ll be fine. I am 4 days post op and today was the first day I felt a little hungry. I’m not sure about the hair part (mine is already thin) but I’ll keep u posted. 1 WalkingBlessing21 reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 7, 2021 fear and nervousness is common before surgeries, but you'll do fine! Hair loss is common after weight loss surgery, but there are some people who lose very little if any hair. And for most of us, you're the only one who'll notice it. Mine started around six months out and lasted three months - and it grew back (I didn't lose very much). I can tell you that for those of us who are a year or two (or more) out, the hair loss seems so minor in the grand scheme of things. Many people worry about it when they're pre-op and early post-op (I did, too!!), but now I wonder why I wasted even one brain cell worrying about it. It seems so insignificant now in light of all the positive changes my body has gone through.
WalkingBlessing21 7 Posted February 7, 2021 **BIG HUGS** I too loss my precious mom this past September. I’m still grieving her being gone from this earth. She knew I was going to have surgery. Which is now scheduled on the 17th. Though there’s not a day that goes by that i wishe she could be here for me. Doing EVERYTHING she could to help me be safe & heal comfortable. She also was a retired RN.... My family is very supportive but it’s nothing like your mommy... Good luck on your surgery. 1 BayouTiger reacted to this
bufbills 316 Posted February 8, 2021 Hang in there Mischa. You'll be with your mom again when its time. For now, concentrate on doing what they tell you to do both preop and post. Most importantly, the recovery process is temporary, and will pass. You'll will do great!!
