kristieshannon 1,668 Posted February 1, 2021 Not sure if is the swelling, or the stomach muscle tightening, or just recovery in general but man is my restriction in full effect right now! I’m 16 days post op and can eat far less than I did pre PS. dinner tonight was a quick & easy charcuterie platter as we’re in the middle of a bunch of house projects. A small slice of cheese, one small slice of prosciutto, and 2 small crackers and I’m feeling that full to nearly puking sensation. Anyone else experience this after their PS? GreenTealael 25,430 Posted February 1, 2021 Yes ! It seems like after any little procedure I will get a reset in my hunger and restrictions levels! Maybe I’ll plan a dental exam to lose the quarantine 15 😂 1 Kris77 reacted to this
ms.sss 15,713 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) I dinno about restriction but def hunger. I don’t think I wanted to eat/felt hungry for like over a month. Ok, i just checked....maybe my memory is failing me..:MFP says I was ate within a range of a low-high of 1000-1400? Maybe i wasn’t as un-hunrgy as I thought....but i did lose 8 lbs (400g of it was from the surgery though), so i dunno 🤷🏻♀️ P.S. sorry, this post was kinda useless lol P.P.S Oh and i gained back those 8 plus some and then lost the some Edited February 1, 2021 by ms.sss
catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 1, 2021 I can't remember if I felt more restriction in my pouch after plastic surgery (I had my procedures 2 and 2.5 years ago, so it's been awhile), but to this day if it eat too much (as on Thanksgiving. Or if I eat something that makes me bloat), I get uncomfortable because my torso feels really tight (part is from my LBL - the other part is due to the fact he brought the "side boob" incisions down my sides farther than he usually does to try to pull some excess skin off from under my ribs that was too high to get to when he did my LBL earlier, if that makes sense...). So...yes - at least indirectly... 1 ms.sss reacted to this

Teres36 49 Posted April 26, 2021 I’m two weeks out since my Tummy Tuck with muscle repair and hernia repair. I definitely have a restriction and am back to eating portions like when I began eating solid foods after my gastric sleeve. My plastic surgeon said that’s very common and should continue for awhile.
