you're in a stall. No way you're gaining weight eating 500-800 calories a day. Those slight gains (1-2 lbs) are likely due to Water retention. Just stick to your plan and your weight loss should start up again. Stalls happen occasionally throughout your journey and typically last 1-3 weeks. And they eventually break..

Just chill and relax It is one of the crazy stalls, your body can't just lose weight all of the time, so it stops and adjusts and then you start losing again. I've had stalls last up to 3 weeks, but that was 18 months out. Just record your weight and you will see how it is drop drop, stop up one down one up two down one then you lose again. It is a journey, not a sprint. How much you lose and how fast depends on how much you have to lose. Congratulations on your success so far!

@S11rony303 thank you for asking this question as I was in the same moment and very concerned. I agree that with all the Water we intake it definitely causes water weight results on the scale. I am almost 2 months post op (21 pounds down)and the stall(3 weeks) almost made me wanna just give up. Then I realized I was losing inches even when the scale wasn't moving. I suggest taking photos they definitely tell your weightloss successes. Try on an article of clothing that didn't fit last year. Also a good support system around you helps a lot. We get stuck seeing ourselves as over weight. Then BAM! cross paths with someone who hasn't seen us in a while and they go "OMG look at you getting all skinny". Hang on you got this. Congratulations on your journey.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
