What does everyone use to track their food and Fluid intake? I am scheduled for 3 days from now and haven't found anything for tracking yet.

I love the MyFitnessPal app, but a lot of people use Baritastic. They are pretty similar and really easy to use. You can search for a food or, if it has a barcode, just scan the barcode and it will automatically calculate the nutrition information for the serving size you enter.

My surgery isn't scheduled until 2/22, but I found this on on Amazon and it is amazing! I find that I am not consistent with the app tracking and better at tracking with pen/paper, especially if I have something that is functional and pretty... this fits the bill! It is a little more expensive than most trackers - but it is undated and it is hard covered. It doesn't have much room for activity tracking, but I created my own separate activity dot journal that I got at Michaels for super cheap.

I'm a gamer, so I use the Habitica app. I set my own goals including difficulty settings (I'm disabled/ fibromyalgia too) so I have tasks/ achievements for when I take my Vitamins, have a Protein Shake, make my other Protein goals, Water intake, exercise etc. I get "experience" points and my character levels up, earns pets, mounts, items etc. I've just started using it and it's been a real help.

I have used cronometer and baritastic in the past, but since I wear a fitbit I started just using the fitbit app so I have one less thing to mess with.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
