Nurse Crystal 4 Posted January 16, 2021 I was excited and inpatient waiting. I finally had it on 1/11/21. Overall I’m doing good. I have been drinking and I’m already on phase 2 which seems fast to me. When I had the sleeve and left the hospital I was 15 pounds. As of now the scale hasn’t moved. Hoping I’m doing everything right.
AB 2 Posted January 17, 2021 I also had mine on 1/11. I have to remain on a clear liquid diet for 2 complete weeks before increasing diet. I did gain several pounds of Fluid in the hospital which I have lost now. Good luck!!Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
catwoman7 11,220 Posted January 17, 2021 everyone leaves the hospital weighing more than they did when they went in because of all the IV fluids (which I believe contain sodium, which makes retention even worse!). I've heard of people "gaining" 10 or more lbs, in fact. It can take up to a week for them to work their way out of your system. You're probably fine. Even in phase 2, you're not taking in *nearly* enough calories to maintain your current weight - I'm sure it's Water.

I thought I would be Clear Liquids for a week or two.
