That’s a super easy answer. Scrubs. I have the best work outfit ever. Lol
I work in the Operating Room in a Hospital so we wear scrubs and a surgical hat. So on top of not having to worry about an outfit, my hair goes back in a ponytail and I get to wear sneakers!

Will it be tough working with the patients at this point? I’m work in health care but I am in a non clinical desk job. I am wondering how much time off I will need realistically when I get my TT

I took 3 weeks total off. Some of that was traveling to the place to have surgery so I guess two and a half weeks off. I have scrubbed for many years and now mainly help run the desk so I won’t need to do any lifting etc of patients. If I was still scrubbing then that would be different and I would need more time off.

I’m a nurse in a mental health & addictions clinic. I usually wear black jeans and a sweater of some sort to work. However, when I go back at 3 weeks post op I’m not sure I’ll be ready for jeans yet. I might have to pull out the scrubs again for awhile!

Or maybe some black leggings or yoga pants maybe? I’m going to try and get my Faja on today. 🤞🏻
You have to put a lot of effort into closing it up which is hard when you have had a TT and there is swelling. I don’t want to smoosh everything too much. Anyways we shall see. If I do get it on I’ll post a pic😳

So I go back to work tomorrow! Got my Faja on. Had to go with a diff size. The measurements for me didn’t line up with the size that was selected. Couldn’t get that one on. So I went up a size. This is that one. It’s tight.

Thanks!!
Yea I didn’t even make it an hour in this. Kinda painful at this stage in my recovery. Think I’ll wait a little longer to wear it.
How does it feel when you wore it?

I wore mine for a couple days. It was really rubbing on my arm pits (I’ve got incisions there from my arm lift). Today I wore my abdominal binder again and some waist cincher leggings. I’ve ordered two pairs of shorts style fajas that’ll be delivered on Wednesday. The full body suit thing isn’t going to work for me until my arm pits are more healed up.

That’s what I wore today for my first day back to work. Just the abdominal binder under my scrubs.

I had the same issue at first...it helped to wear my arm compression garment (looks like a shrug) underneath it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
