Hello I was wondering if anyone had dealt with a hernia after their surgery? I had my gastric bypass on 7/15 and i had an additional surgery 9 weeks later - my gallbladder had to come out. My surgeon opened two of my incisions twice - my belly button incision and my right incision.

I have a very physical job, and i went back to work after my gallbladder surgery 2 weeks later. I am constantly lifting almost 25 lbs, and pushing/pulling over 200 lbs a lot.

My right side near my belly button has been tender off and on. I have recently noticed that my right side swells up a little (its not hard, its still really soft but i do have a lot of loose skin, as I have lost 107 lbs.) I do feel a lump/or bulge near this area, and it almost feels like a knot i guess you can say when you press into it? I've had pressure only on my right side lately, as work has been a lot more busier. I've dealt with the chronic Constipation since surgery too but I think i finally got it under control for once! I just feel like I am getting the run around at the office, and I have not discussed it with my surgeon just yet.

They tell me the pain can take 6 months to a year to go away, and bulges are normal. Why is it just now more noticeable? Has anyone else dealt with this or is it just me?

What does scar tissue feel like?

I suggest you get a follow-up with the surgeon. I am surprised they let you lift that much so soon. You very well could have a hernia. The surgeon will be able to tell.

Looks like a hernia to me as well. I definitely think you should seek medical advice ASAP.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
