Christina760 161 Posted December 9, 2020 Anyone ever feel like you have food stuck? And you try to throw up but can’t? (Not me my friend). I’ve never had to throw up but once felt like it for 20 min.
Jaelzion 1,127 Posted December 9, 2020 I had the sleeve and yes, I felt like that many times in the first couple of weeks after surgery. It felt like food was stuck halfway down and I couldn't swallow it down or throw it up. It was a miserable feeling but thankfully, that stopped happening over time. If it remains a problem, I'd check in with the surgeon just to make sure everything is okay. Hope she feels better soon.

GradyCat 3,695 Posted December 9, 2020 Some of us get what we call "the foamies." It's not vomiting, but it's mucus coming back up and sometimes you spit up because you ate too much or ate something dense that your stomach didn't like. 1 tarotcardreader reacted to this
toodlerue 452 Posted December 9, 2020 I used to before I had a RNY. I always kept a can of Coke in the fridge to take a couple of swallows to help the food go down. At a restaurant I would always order a Coke just incase. If would be miserable if I waited until it happened & I asked the server to bring me one.
