Revision date set for December 15th

Hi all! I’m new here. I finally got my surgery date and I’m very excited. I had rny in 2002 lost 175lbs and then after I had my daughter gained it all back in 10years. My surgeon says my pouch is fine but the opening to my intestines is big so good just flows through. I’m ready to get this done so I can be active and healthy.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Do you have to qualify for a revision like you do for original surgery (40 BMI, etc.)?

In my case no because it is for repair but if strictly for weight loss than yes.

We are surgery twins! I am having my RNY at Stanford on the 15th. Best of luck to you!

Can I ask what had to be repaired? What can go wrong that needs repair?

Somehow the opening to my intestine from my stomach got stretched out so they are re tightening that. Right now food just flows right through into my intestine without really pausing in my stomach.
