Morachia 66 Posted November 23, 2020 Does anyone here have the experience of trying a weight loss medication during your pre-op countdown? I'm seeing a dietitian, doing all of the steps required by insurance, and I am taking Bupropion for these 4-6 months because my baseline weight refuses to move. It is finally moving, my weight is finally changing little by little but I'm worried that there can be a regain when I stop taking this medication? I'm planning on stopping it before the procedure. I'd appreciate any insight or experiences you may have had.
Rhapsody43 8 Posted February 9, 2021 I, too, am on weight loss medication during my countdown towards surgery. It has been the only thing that helps me lose weight. Which tells me that if I don’t get the surgery I will just keep gaining and gaining more and more weight. I’m trusting in the surgery and postop diet to do it’s work. 1 Rhapsody43 reacted to this
Delta Lisa 8 Posted February 9, 2021 I have been on metformin since starting the 6 month weight loss required by insurance. I was not losing anything before taking the metformin so I know surgery is right for me. I believe that I will be taken off the medication after surgery or so I hope.
