TatiannaL 3 Posted November 12, 2020 Hello Everyone, I am at my beginning stage of my weight loss journey. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am struggling with trying to exercise everyday. Any suggestions ??? 1 1 teanny31 and Lily66 reacted to this
NovaLuna 710 Posted November 13, 2020 My doctor told me when I started to just start off slow at 2x a week and then just slowly up it. I was exercising 4x a week when I had my surgery. Now I can't exercise at all due to a non-surgery related health issue... but it was good advice for me when I started. You can always ask your doctor for their own advice if it'll make you feel more comfortable. 1 TatiannaL reacted to this

Lily66 425 Posted November 13, 2020 TatiannaL, Congratulations for taking the big step in deciding to choose a healthier life, and WELCOME HERE! My Dr. suggested that walking is the best and maybe most effective exercise to do. Start slowly and increase each week, as able. I wish you an exciting, rewarding journey to a new and improved YOU!!💖 1 TatiannaL reacted to this
BigSue 1,392 Posted November 13, 2020 I use workout videos on YouTube. You can do them at home for free. Someone here recommended Leslie Sansone Walk at Home, and she has a lot of free videos on YouTube. I think they're great for beginners because they're pretty simple, most don't require any equipment, and you can start with short ones (10-15 minutes) and work your way up to longer ones. GradyCat 3,695 Posted November 18, 2020 You don't have to exercise EVERY day, especially not at the beginning right after surgery. Take it slow and do a little at a time. Even 10 minutes of stretching at home counts as exercise. Don't rush it.
