CWeaver60 10 Posted November 12, 2020 On my surgery date I weighed 196. Today I weighed 190.5. Anyone else get off to such a slow start????
goalsmasher 2 Posted November 13, 2020 My surgery was the same day and I've lost 18 lbs. But my weight is so much more than yours. When you have less to lose it can come off slower. Best of luck. You'll get there!
catwoman7 11,220 Posted November 13, 2020 you're starting at a much lower weight than most of us on here did. Lots of us started off at 250 - or 300 - or 350 - lbs. Or even more. Starting BMI is one of the major factors in your rate of weight loss (others are age, sex, metabolic rate, activity level, how compliant you are with your eating plan, whether or not you lost a lot of weight prior to surgery). As long as your weight is trending down, you're good.
CWeaver60 10 Posted November 13, 2020 I can understand that...I'm 5'3 and had gotten up to 225. It was severely affecting my knees and my ability to move about comfortably plus I had high blood pressure. I definitely feel better since losing some weight and for that I am grateful. Still need to lose a great deal more. I will be patient. You have done amazing! Congratulations!!!
