Ugh.. Can't catch a break (just venting)

My sons teacher is positive for COVID and has to quarentine for 14 days. As of now he is asymptotic and doesn't need to be tested. The original plan for day of surgery was my mom was gonna keep him til my wife gets off work, and then she'd have him that night and the next day. But on the 7th we had a miscarriage due to ectopic pregnancy and she had to have her left tube removed. So she is on lifting restrictions. And my son is 14 months and doesn't walk. So my doc already said that by Monday the 16th i could puck him up carefully. I just have no clue what to do. Probably just cancel it and reschedule, but then my deductible wouldn't be met so my free surgery becomes $2500. Im on a fixed income so no way to afford that . Maybe its just not meant to be

So sorry to hear. Is there an extended family member or a close friend who could help out (either by letting your son stay with them or by staying over to help out your wife)? Would it be cheaper to pay someone to stay over the night and day your wife will be home with your son rather than starting over with a new deductible? Sorry things got so complicated, I hope it works out for you.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
