Insurance Authorization FEPBlue

I work for the Federal Government and have FEPBlue or BCBSTX. Does anyone here have this insurance and how long did it take to get Authorization?

I have BC/BS Federal because my hubby and I worked for DoD. I started everything not too far in the new year of 2017 and had surgery in July. I don't remember exact dates. I can look it up for you if you want a somewhat closer timeline than what I provided.
