Doug E Mo 11 Posted October 29, 2020 Finally, seems to me like it took forever but from what I have read on here my approval was relatively painless, got me surgery date...excited and ready to do it. 2 1 Postop, NovaLuna and Circlesis reacted to this
NovaLuna 710 Posted October 29, 2020 Congrats on your upcoming surgery! The hospital stay is different for everyone, but DS-ers tend to stay slightly longer so just be prepared for that. I spent three days and two nights in the hospital and they almost kept me for another night but I begged them to let me go home lol. Remember to walk, walk, walk to get rid of the excess gas and try to sip as much Water as you can or they may keep you longer (the drinking thing was totally my issue, I had trouble with it and found sucking on ice was way easier, but they couldn't track the ice verses the water so kept having to tell me to drink rather than suck on ice)
ecugsplgrl 34 Posted October 29, 2020 I am 2 weeks postop and spent one night in the hospital, had pain x 1 night and walked/drank day after. So far, no real issues progressing to soft foods. Good luck

Doug E Mo 11 Posted November 18, 2020 Had surgery as scheduled...surgery was a breeze, surgeon took out gall bladder<which he said was Uuuuggggllllyyyyy> and fixed an umbilical hernia while he was in there. My wife is scheduled for same surgery on the 30th, when I first woke up I told she was not doing it, once the fentanyl wore off and I felt human again my opinion changed. Between the nerve blocks and nerve pain pills the pain was very manageable. Had to stay a couple of extra days because they found an issue totally unrelated to the surgery, so I guess I was lucky being in the hospital already when it showed up. 1 NovaLuna reacted to this
