Kjfennell 7 Posted October 11, 2020 Those of you who has a surgery coming within the next 2-3 weeks, what have you done to prepare for after surgerySent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app 1 AZhiker reacted to this
AZhiker 2,253 Posted October 11, 2020 One of the best things I did before surgery was to give up the addictive substances - sugar, caffeine, soda, alcohol, artificial sweeteners. Recovery is hard enough without having a caffeine headache or sugar cravings. It made things much easier post op and I would suggest it to everyone. 3 STLoser, Deb9386 and Kjfennell reacted to this

Deb9386 110 Posted October 11, 2020 Surgery on 22nd: I've read as much as I can online, bought various types of Protein Shakes, Protein waters, hot chocolates for liquid diet. I've done a blank chart to use as a daily record of fluids/calories/protein/carbs (I don't get on with myfitnesspal app). I've got together small pots for using in the puree stage and have bought the Vitamins in bulk. For the hospital stay, I've bought various toiletries plus dry mouth spray & lip balm (I still have more to sort for this). I've been following the pre-op diet to the letter, given up sugar and have been concentrating as much as possible on protein. Also have been taking Multivitamins. 1 Kjfennell reacted to this
WishMeSmaller 1,274 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) I have used the Baritastic app since day one, about three months ago, and love it. Great for monitoring everything. Good luck! Edited October 11, 2020 by WishMeSmaller 1 Kjfennell reacted to this
