Hello everyone,

I and my revision on sept 10th from. Sleeve to duo switch . I started at 330 when I called my doctor by my first visit i was at 320 by my surgery date I was 312 by my first appointment after surgery I was 304. I am now 300 and the scale has not moved for me. I drink 64 oz of Water a day.

I eat my Protein baked and take my Multi Vitamins. I work out 5 days a week. 3 days biking 2 days walking. I am frustrated with my results. I am stressed and worried that this surgery is not going to work for me. I have an appointment on the 16th and I know my doctor will be very upset. Has anyone else been through this?

Nearly everyone experiences a stall at 3 - 4 weeks. You are doing all the right things. Stick with the plan. It will work.

You seem to be doing great.

The scale is the devil. It will lie to you.

The fear that "this won't/isn't working" is a big one that most of us have faced. It will work for you if you work for it. It's a team effort, your part is to follow your plan.

Keep up the good work, kill the scale.

Good luck,

Tek

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
