My surgery date is November 12th. I am ready to finish what I have started. My biggest thing is the first month of puree foods. A week after my surgery my daughter has a soccer tournament in south ga, but I should be able to figure it all out just find places that have Soup for my dinner and add my Protein.

Lots of good Protein powders on this list that satisfy the requirements the nutritionist gave me.

*20-30 grams of protein per serving

*<15 grams of carbs per serving

* <200 calories per serving

I've started a Multivitamin and collagen + Biotin pills today and have tried to increase my Water intake. I'll begin exercising tomorrow. I'm very motivated to not only lose weight but to be healthy and strong!

You're one week before I am. I am very excited, not too nervous. I think I more nervous about the 14 day liquid diet that I am the surgery. 🤪 Were you able to make your 10% weight loss goal?

Mine starts on the 28th and it is pure liquid. I plan on living on the Premier Protein shake, sugar free Jello, & chicken broth!! Sounds yummy right! 🤪 I am actually looking forward to this journey!

Hi, fellow November sleevers... Was just wondering what all of your pre-op diets look like. Mine is 10 days, and thankfully has some food... Not nearly enough emoji1787.png but some is better than none, I guess. I start on the 24th, I think, and have told those who know what I'm doing (I'm keeping it somewhat on the down low for various reasons) that I may not be the most pleasant person to be around. emoji16.png

I will be on a 14 day liquid diet. My surgery date is Nov 11. I think I have waited for this day my whole adult life and am so excited.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
