Might add it back after the eight week mark, but nothing till hen I have been having the same issue. This week I found Protein2O. It is flavored water with 20g of Protein. It has been a lifesaver. Both plant and regular Protein Shakes made me sick and nauseous. This as a substitute has been great. 1 Yray reacted to this

Deb9386 110 Posted October 24, 2020 I'm on day 2 and just home from the hospital. My stomach's painful and lots of gas - they've sent me home with a baby colic medicine which has given my family a laugh! I'm just trying to walk to get rid of this horrible gas. It's so good to hear of everyone's progress and tips x

Drink lots of Water like my nurse said water was more important than Protein the first few days so you don’t dehydrate. 1 Deb9386 reacted to this

After a shaky psychology assessment , its been reconfirmed for the 31st (gastric bypass) provided I find counselling post op. Counselling is expensive privately but we'll see when I cross that bridge. My pre op diet is going ok ish ....i am just eating eggs all day for 2 weeks. I really sick of eggs lol. It's surprising how different the pre-op and post-op diets are from one doctor to another. My obligatory counselling session was very expensive - they've recommended I have more but I don't have to thankfully. I didn't find it very helpful.

I cut the carbs right down because I was struggling to keep to the calorie limit when I included them. It almost seemed as if the dietitian hadn't road-tested the diet. I had to do it for nearly 3 weeks because I have fatty liver. But I did lose 16lbs on it so that was good!
theshrinkingchef 61 Posted October 24, 2020 All those drinks are too sweet for me. I’m going to have to make my own shakes. I’m 10 days out and I can’t stand the taste! I’m drinking the Protein cappuccinos to replace those shakes. Been staying with my mom, so when I get home, I’ll be making my own. To my surprise, I still have energy. I’ve lost over 20lbs since surgery and I figured I’d be hallucinating by now... lol! 1 JoanneLaRusch reacted to this

Yeah I dont want to have more counselling sessions with the one I saw as it was £250 for an hour. If I have to do it I will find the cheapest person I can find lol. Also glad to hear youre post op! Are you taking other OTC stuff for the gas? I am gonna buy pepto bismal chewables maybe.

I haven't taken anything else for the gas yet other than the colic med the hospital gave me. I've been walking a lot but still have gas so tomorrow I think I'll get some OTC stuff for it. The chewables sound good. Edited October 25, 2020 by Deb9386 sp 1 dal101 reacted to this
