new_lease_on_life 1 Posted August 13, 2020 I have been riding my bike as apart of my workout routine since COVID hit. I was wondering how soon after gastric bypass surgery are you allowed to start working out again.
Hop_Scotch 1,633 Posted August 13, 2020 That is dependent on your surgeon, they will have their own guidelines, but generally walking probably is okay as soon as most people are up to it, for more strenuous exercise and weights/resistance training wait for the go ahead from the surgeon. 1 vanessa.0419 reacted to this
catwoman7 11,228 Posted August 13, 2020 I was allowed to walk right away. I was cleared for everything else except for weights at four weeks out. At eight weeks out, I was cleared for weights. 2 vanessa.0419 and Winnie 50 reacted to this

At the four week mark, I was cleared to do everything except for weights. At eight weeks out, I was cleared for weights. So I'm guessing four weeks for biking (I'm a biker as well - but I wasn't back when I had surgery). But I'd ask just in case.
