I am 13 days post op and have not lost a single oz since day 7 post op. Please forgive me if this sounds nieve but I am not sure what this means for my weight loss journey. Thank you in advance for any information.

You'll be full of gas and stuff still don't bother weighing until a month out

Normal as can be - I have said this a hundred times on this site - it is a journey and it will pay off ............... DO not focus on the scale or you will be in a rubber room with a jacket the buckles from the back.

The head games are tough and just focus on a new lifestyle of eating healthy and managing your addiction to food. Focus on your Vitamins and minerals. The rest will come and the weight will fall off

We all have been there it is not easy at the start but once you get the hang of it -------GAME ON

i started out like you weighing myself and driving myself nuts. Then i weighed in once a month and turned my focus to my new healthy lifestyle. Trust me it works

Although there is no such thing as "normal" that applies to everyone equally, stalls are definitely a part of the process. You can expect this to happen from time to time throughout your weight loss journey. As long as you are following the program set by your surgeon and nutritionist, you will succeed. Focus on that on not on the scale.

you're going through the three-week stall a little early. Almost everyone goes through that early stall. If you do a search for it on this site, you'll fine 17,501 posts on it (and no, I am NOT kidding - there literally are 17,501 posts on it). Just stick to your plan and your weight loss will start up again - I promise! My stall lasted for two weeks (weeks 2 and 3 post-surgery), and my weight loss started up again during week 4. I dropped like 6-8 lbs within a couple of days that week. So just hang tight and stay off the scale if you have to...

Thank you all so much... I think I just panicked, because I lost 17lbs in the first 7 days and then lost and gained the same pound for the last 6 now lol... Still on full liquids and getting my Water, Protein and exercise in so I just didn’t understand. Thank you for your support and information. Have a wonderful day 😌🙏

Yes 😌🙏 And thank you. I was told it was mostly Water and gas weight from surgery so I didn’t see it as a real victory. But you are absolutely right. 17lbs is 17lbs no matter what it is that is lost. Thank you for that

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
