kossde 6 Posted August 7, 2020 I had surgery in July 15. Since the , I haven’t been able to sleep in my stomach or side. When I try, it feels like my insides are all moving and a weird muscle in my left side abdomen cramps up terribly. I need sleep :( I can’t sleep on my back. Pillows aren’t helping. Is this normal?? When will it stop happening?
ladyJ2198 10 Posted August 8, 2020 O that’s rough! I only had pain a few days my sleeve was 7/14! I did cuddle a pillow to stand , sneeze and sleep! Did you ask your doctor? I know everyone is different but I feel like you shouldn’t be in so much pain you can’t sleep.. gosh I hope you get well soon
Arabesque 7,442 Posted August 8, 2020 Contact your medical team ASAP. Pain is never good especially this long after surgery. Hope they can sort this out for you soon.
kossde 6 Posted August 8, 2020 I actually did call my doctor. I was told it was from the ‘anchor stitch’ during surgery. I was also told it should go away in another week or two... and that it’s their number one complaint from bariatric patients post-surgery. Wish they had told me before now so that I could have expected it
catwoman7 11,221 Posted August 8, 2020 I think it took me about that long before I could sleep on my side or stomach. Same deal after plastic surgery, too...
