I found these Probiotic Mjni Cookies at Aldi...I usually have a half serving...but 1 gram of Protein per cookie. Not huge, but yummy and perfect for my tiny tummy!

Edited to add Way better than making them myself!!

I tried this chocolate hummus with strawberries. Didn’t love it but helped with chocolate craving a bit.

Personally, I have been to Aldi twice. Once to see what the excitement was about and the second time to make sure that the first time was not just a weird happening. Granted, I keep Kosher, so i was not expecting to purchase cheeses or meats there. (i only eat cheeses without animal rennent) But I did not find anything exciting or great pricing. The produce appeared old and wilted, and boxed items and pantry items were too close to expiration for my liking. I did find some European Condiments that were a "fun" purchase, and tons of snack items like chips and Cookies, crackers and Cereal.

So I get a bunch of targeted ads on Facebook for food products due to the amount of Googling for low-cal, low-carb recipes and foods that I do. I rarely check them out but this one made me too curious. I was supposed to get my delivery yesterday, but FedEx and I have a not great relationship and so the package never showed. Won't get it until Tuesday now. Still, I am very hopeful and will be sure to update once I get the chance to taste them.

Another Aldi winner. These are super good, so far I prefer the cinnamon over the lemon. Aldi’s is so inexpensive, these are 1.65 for a pack of 6.

The Hershey’s SPECIAL DARK cocoa powder is a for less caloric method 😄 I think it’s 15 calories for a TBSP and is delicious in oatmeal (with the sweetener of your choice!). Also good in the various mug cakes, etc.

I mix cocoa powder into one of the ultra-light vanilla yogurts - like Light & Fit or Carbmaster. That'll do the trick as well - plus give you a boost of Protein, too!

As a public service announcement, both my mom and I thought the Snickerdoodles tasted like they dropped dish soap into the cookie batter! Stay away!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
