Mdeamico76 2 Posted August 1, 2020 Hi All! I’m having a revision on August 10th. I originally had gastric bypass September 2013 and was successful at losing 150lbs. Over the last 2 years I started gaining. I found out it was due to the opening from my stomach to my intestines fully opening and nothing staying in my pouch. My pouch is still it’s original size. I’ve gained 80lbs though I’ve tried my darnedest to do everything I could. And now I feel just disgusted with myself. I’ve been on a liquid diet and I haven’t lost even a pound in Water. Now I’m worried a revision will not help. Does anyone have any experience with this? (I’ve put a call into my Dr but didn’t hear back from him) I would love to hear from anyone who has had a revision..thank you!!! 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
catwoman7 11,221 Posted August 1, 2020 re: revision - do you mean they're going to tighten the stoma? I've heard mixed results - but hopefully techniques have continued to improve. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
Mdeamico76 2 Posted August 1, 2020 Yes! Exactly that! I’ve heard both too. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
traeleo 41 Posted August 2, 2020 I’m in the same boat. I went to my 1 week follow up after my liquid diet and I actually GAINED 2-5 pounds! Talk about discouraged. I’m hoping and praying that it’s just Water retention, but I’m going to do my best and become more active after I heal.
