There has been an increase in spam lately particularly responding to posts. Is it possible to limit the number of posts a new member posts in their first 24 hours particularly when those posts are in a language other than English or if it can be detected that the posts are exactly the same or nearly the same please?

It is about 6.45pm now in Australia and a spammer/spam bot has just posted 29 posts (or more if they are still going).

Holy crap that was so much spam. They gotta do something about that! That was miserable to sift through. Yikes.

We do have a system in place to block them. I’m going to try to fine tune it. Thanks for reporting.

After this evening's spam attack I am prompted to ask, I don't suppose you want a spam moderator? I am happy to volunteer particularly to cover Australian evening and weekend times when those in the USA are likely to be asleep. I do this for MFP where a post must be reported as spam five times (so therefore needs five members to report) before it is removed, however, if I report a post for spam the post is automatically removed for moderation.

That would be super helpful, thank you! I sent you a PM.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
