Thank you. I try to get at least 5000+ steps a day. I'm aiming to get to 10000+ soon.

You are doing great already, maybe you are more motivated than you think you are

Thank you! Sometimes I just feel like I'm not doing enough. Or that the weight should be coming off faster [emoji1745]

I've just discovered a young man on Facebook who does free, live workouts daily. Or you can catch the replay on YouTube. I do the workout for seniors because it's doable for me right now. Check it out: TheGuruofAbs. Fun, easy, just moving more than I have been.

I found some beginners low impact cardio on YouTube, all standing up. I try to do most mornings for 30 minutes indoors. I started doing some exercises I found for bat wing, tricep strengthening using resistance bands and 3 pound barbells.

Stats: 5'1", age 67, female. Highest weight: 245. BMI 41. Surgery Date: May 28, 2020. Weight at surgery: 211.

I’m taking private Zoom Pilates classes 2x a week. The expense and having someone waiting for me is a strong incentive.

I take my dogs for daily run/walks. We’ve been going for shorter one because I don’t want them to get heat stroke, but at least we get out daily.

That’s what motivates me. Set appointment times really help me.

Early morning is key for me. If I wait it’s not going to happen. So now that COVID is here - I walk in the am with my husband. Started at 30 mins but now we do between that an an hour. We also just bought a rower-but that is going to take some time before I get going longer than 15 mins. They’re hard!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
