b48wls2020 33 Posted July 23, 2020 I will be having a SADI-S done on 7/29, as a 1st time WLS. Although, I look forward to learning a lot from everyone...I am really hoping to be able find others that had it done as a 1st timers, too. Looking forward to being a part of this community. Glad I found it!!! 1 NovaLuna reacted to this
Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted July 23, 2020 Looks like you may need to research some old threads to find some 1st timers but I am sure they are out there
NovaLuna 710 Posted July 23, 2020 SADI-S a.k.a SIPS a.k.a Loop Duodenal Switch is the surgery I had. I'm also a first time wls patient. I had mine done 1-23-2020 so I'm exactly six months out as of today! If you have any questions about my own experience with it, please feel free to ask! 😊
b48wls2020 33 Posted July 23, 2020 Doctors office called looks like insurance jumped the gun and somebody sent an authorization. BUT...they will not cover the SADI...so, we are going gastric bypass!!!🤨 Glad to be getting it done, but wish they wouldnt have got my hopes up.
