PlanetHopper 86 Posted July 16, 2020 During my first two days after VSG, I did a lot of sleeping. My surgery was in the morning. Once I woke up I spent most of my time coming out of anesthesia. I recall going in and out of sleep for a while. I walked around a lot. I wasn't able to sleep that night because they were pumping me full of liquids and I had to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes or so. I don't think that happens to everyone. I personally did experience extreme pain outside of the gas pain that everyone talks about. The pain I had was not in my chest or shoulders, it was in my abdomen. From what I have read, everyone experiences a different level of pain. The next day I went home and slept a lot for the next 3-4 days. I would get up and take short walks around my apartment and immediately sit back down. I was very tired all the time. I was off my pain prescription after the third day. Drink as much as you can, but know that you may not hit the 60 oz goal immediately after surgery. Just do your best and you will be fine. 3 2 _Chonk_, tarotcardreader, riverwaters and 2 others reacted to this
