alissajs 230 Posted July 6, 2020 Ok so I’m not really...but I was wondering if you all watched your sodium intake, and if so is there a general range you try to stay in?
catwoman7 11,220 Posted July 6, 2020 I don't but I probably should (I've been in maintenance for 3.5 years, btw). I'm really salt sensitive and retain Water like crazy! 1 alissajs reacted to this
mattk53 124 Posted July 7, 2020 I use way to much salt. I put garlic salt and pepper on everything. I shouldn't because I have high blood pressure but it's a habit. 1 alissajs reacted to this
NovaLuna 710 Posted July 7, 2020 My nutritionist wants me to keep under 1500mg a day due to my blood pressure. I find that impossible so it's usually around 1800mg, but she said at least that's me TRYING to keep it lower. 1 alissajs reacted to this

Me too! Along with the salt, pepper, garlic, I also add cayenne and smoked paprika. ON. EVERYTHING. Lol My doc actually told me to eat more salt in the early days/months post op, as my blood pressure was pretty low and i was having semi-blackout episodes. I rarely feel woozy anymore but my salt intake is still pretty high, I think. P.S. My BP these days hovers near the low end of normal though. 1 1 mattk53 and alissajs reacted to this
Sammi_Katt 303 Posted July 7, 2020 I actually was told to ADD salt to my stuff. I seasoned everything with garlic and pepper, but never salt. I kept coming close to passing out from my blood pressure dropping and having low electrolytes. I have low-normal blood pressure and have around 1500mg of salt on most days, though occasionally I get up to 2300. 1 alissajs reacted to this
