lovekatz1975 1 Posted November 30, 2007 I went yesterday for my second fill. I lost 1 pound in the past 3 weeks. But, I survived Thanksgiving, I survived quitting smoking, and I survived having 3 ccs in a 14 cc band. My doc added a little over 2 ccs to my band. I now have just over 5 ccs. I feel tight as heck. I have gurgling noises come back up when I drink. I had Tomato Soup last night and I felt like I was stuck. I don't know if I have too much restriction now, but I think I'm going to just deal with it to get myself back on the losing track. I go back again 12/21. I'll be back on solids for Christmas Day. nume130 0 Posted November 30, 2007 Don't let yourself stay too tight for long. Complications can arise. Also when you are too tight the tendency is to eat higher calorie soft and liquid foods, then the weight doesn't come off then either. When you are at the proper restriction you will loose weight and still get in your nutrition as well.
Carrot06 0 Posted December 1, 2007 I agree with nume130- you don't want to be as my program calls it is the "red zone" and too retricted. That is really wonderful that you have quit smoking. I know most medical professionals say that is the single best thing you can do for your health. So you are going to be smoke free and a healthy weight. I know the slow weight loss is frustrating- but you will do it! Don't lose faith! :biggrin1:
babs0101 1 Posted December 5, 2007 I too went yesterday for my second fill, but I didn't lose, I actually gained a pound!! I told the doc I didn't have any restriction and so that just proved it. Now I do. I have 6cc in a 10cc band. I have to eat slow with small bites. Yah!
uxbus5 0 Posted December 5, 2007 I had my first fill on 12/3 and I feel no different than I did before. My Dr. put in 1 and 1/2 cc. He said I have a 4cc band and that should give me a good jump start. I have my next one on 12/14 this time he said he would add only 1/2 cc. I'm hoping I feel something. So far I have been doing this by sheer willpower but with the Holiday parties coming up , I am getting frustrated. What does it feel like to have a fill that works for you??? lovekatz1975 1 Posted December 6, 2007 It's amazing - here I am, back on solid foods after a fill. I am able to eat so much less than I was able to before. Yeah, I get hungry, but it takes so little to fill me up!
DonHoll1 0 Posted December 6, 2007 I have 2.5 ccs in a 4 cc band and i have good restriction. Donna
nip50 2 Posted December 6, 2007 I have 3 cc's in a 14cc band and am getting frustrated. They won't let me have another fill as long as I keep loosing, but I'm only loosing with will power and the will power is getting weaker and weaker. I can eat way more than one cup at a sitting and am hungry quite often. Right now my next appointment isn't until 12/20 and presently I can eat most anything I want. I want to feel restriction! I shouldn't have to gain weight or not loose any just to be able to have a fill. This band is suppose to be an aid, but they don't let it aid us if they won't fill it. I might take another's idea and if my weight loss if more than 4 pounds when I go in, I'm going to add rocks or something to my pockets.
